DESCRIPTION: This fine and rare copper engraving was printed in London in 1799 by R.Taylor and Co engravers, and published by J.Sowerby, London. It was printed on fine ivory paper, and the image is exquisitely drawn and hand-colored at the time of the publication. Colours are vivid and fresh.
SUBJECT: VERBASCUM virgatum (TWIGGY or WAND MULLEIN)
MEDIUM: Copper engraving, printed on fine ivory paper. Reverse side is blank.
SIZE (in inch): 8.8" x 5.3" or 22.5 x 13,5 cm.
AGE: 220 years.
CONDITION: Very good conditon
