Here is a wonderful cigarette case (?)/ hymnal case (?) dated 1836marked A. Schmidt. I believe this was manufactured in Germany, given the name on it, but could be wrong. This obviously shows wear, given its age, but is in very good condition - threading is intact and the body is very sturdy.
