French Model 1831 Artillery Short Sword - Martinique 1902:

Civil War French Model 1831 Artillery Short Sword. The blade has a hard-written "Martinique", "May 11, 1902" on it, no other markings seen. The blade is unsharpened, some nicks, it has light pitting with surface rust scattered throughout, wiggles a little, and there is a bend about 3/8" up from the tip. No scabbard. Length of the blade is 18 1/4" (1 7/16" wide x 3/16" thick), and the sword is 23 5/8". This is the thinner blade model.
