VINTAGE CHINESE YIXING REDWARE POTTERY VASE WITH BLUE PEACOCK HANDLES:
$120.00

Vintage Chinese Yixing-style zisha redware pottery vase, dating to the mid-to-late 20th century (circa 1960s–1980s). This elegant piece features a classic baluster-shaped body crafted from unglazed matte terracotta-colored red clay. The neck is flanked by two striking, stylized handles finished in a vibrant cobalt blue glaze and modeled in the shape of peacocks. The front and back facades are adorned with hand-painted or raised white enamel motifs depicting delicate blossoming prunus or cherry branches. The underside features a crisp, rectangular four-character stamped mark reading "中国制造" (Zhongguo Zhizao), translating to "Made in China," typical of high-quality export wares from state-operated kilns of the era. • Height: Approx. 8.75 to 9 inches.
This item is being sold in excellent vintage condition.
• Structural Integrity: Excellent. There are no chips, cracks, hairlines, structural fractures, or repairs to the clay body or the delicate peacock handles.
• Surface & Glaze: The unglazed redware surface retains its clean, original matte texture with only minor shelf wear on the base ring consistent with age. The blue glaze on the handles remains glossy, vibrant, and free of crazing.
• Decoration: The white enamel floral accents are beautifully preserved with no notable flaking, scraping, or paint loss.
Please review the high-resolution photographs carefully as they form part of the physical description.
