This item is a Vintage Carvel Hall “Buffalo Bill” Commemorative Bowie knife, produced in Crisfield, Maryland in the 1970s as part of Carvel Hall’s historical replica series.
Faithful reproduction of the knife carried by William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody (1846–1917) – famed Pony Express rider, Army scout, and frontier showman.
The polished stainless-steel blade is approx. 10" long and 1.25" wide and is etched with Buffalo Bill’s name and portrait. The overall length of the knife is approx. 15.5". The handle is a genuine walnut wood grip with nickel-silver pommel and guard (decorative starburst detail on pommel).
This knife was manufactured by Carvel Hall, Charles D. Briddell Co., circa 1970s.
This rare vintage knife is in very good condition, showing only minor signs of aging and some oxidation spots.This item has been stored in a climate-controlled smoke-free environment.See the pics for your own judge of condition.
