1789 George Washington Hand-Colored Mezzatint by William Nutter, after Stuart:
$400.00

This is a historic stipple engraving of George Washington, created in the late 18th century by the English printmaker, William Nutter.
Clearly the piece needs to be gently washed in order to diminish the general brown stain. Nonetheless, a beautiful period piece that Washington collectors seek.
Thus, we have priced it accordingly and well below the typical prices.
Reference to it can be found in Wendy Shadwell's standard text, George Washington: An American Icon, page 60.
The image measures 11 1/2 x 8 inches.
All Washington collectors should keep checking this site since we have several wonderful Washington pieces that we will be eventually listing.
