1970s Navajo sterling silver ring set with a large oval natural American turquoise stone in pale blue tones. Twisted silver wire, scrollwork, frame the smooth bezel, while a split shank supports the setting ring size 9 face of the ring mesures 1"⅜x1"⅛ 3mm band ring total weight 11.8grams, Darling Darlene

Discovered in the early 1970’s by Joe Barredo, the Darling Darlene mine produced some very fine gem turquoise. It ranges in color from shades of green and light to dark blues. A small mine worked by Barredo and his son-in-law all throughout the 70’s. The mine had been named after Darlene, one of Barredo’s daughters who had passed away as a young woman.
