16th President of the United States, ABRAHAM LINCOLN authentic cut signature mounted below small reproduction Lincoln "penny portrait" CDV. Lincoln signs in pencil as "A. Lincoln".

The signature was previously removed from a document obtained from the sale of assets of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Foundation.The Foundation was forced to part with over 140 items from its collection, including Lincoln's bloodstained assassination gloves, in order to retire an $8 million debt.

The famous profile portrait of Lincoln used for the CDV image and subsequent U.S. one-cent coin was taken by photographer Anthony Berger on February 9, 1864 at Matthew Brady's studio in Washington, D.C.

The Lincoln cut signature has been reviewed and CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC by GRAD AUTHENTICATION digital review. Steve Grad is an expert autograph authenticator who served as the former Lead Authenticator for PSA/DNA as well as Principal Authenticator for Beckett Authentication Services.
