This Antique 1800s French Beaux Arts Bronze Cherub Jardiniere Planter Centerpiece is a rare and exquisite piece that showcases the craftsmanship of French artisans from the 19th century. Handmade from bronze with a rich gold color, this original planter exudes elegance and sophistication. Featuring intricate details and a French antique style, this piece is sure to add a touch of luxury and charm to any collection or space.
Elevate your space with this magnificent, authentic 1800s Victorian-era Beaux-Arts / Art Nouveau jardinière centerpiece planter frame. Dating back to the late 19th century, this heavy sand-cast bronze piece features incredibly deep, sculptural relief work showcasing dimensionally embossed cherub/putti faces nestled inside sweeping organic vines, asymmetrical waves, and classic Rococo flourishes.
This piece features a magnificent, unpolished dark statuary patina. Decades of natural aging have beautifully darkened the intricate, recessed relief lines of the foliage, while the high points of the cherub faces and handles have rubbed down over a century to highlight a warm, golden brass glow underneath. This stunning \"two-tone\" contrast is highly prized by collectors and should never be chemically polished or stripped away.
The interior showcases the raw, unrefined sand-cast texture and structural assembly joints typical of genuine late-19th-century foundry work, including trace hints of authentic verdigris oxidation in the tightest crevices. It comes complete with a handy removable oval black insert liner tray, allowing you to use it safely for live plants or floral displays while fully protecting the historic metalwork.

Excellent antique condition for an item over 120 years old! The cast metal framework is completely solid with no structural breaks, fractures, cracks, or repairs.
