Original antique cabinet card photograph featuring two young boys posed together, one dressed in a period sailor-style suit. Photographer’s imprint on the front reads C. W. Scheidle, Elyria, Ohio, with an 1892 award referenced in the studio imprint.

Believed to date to the 1890s based on the cabinet card style, clothing, and photographer’s mount. Original sepia/black-and-white photographic image mounted on period card stock.

Nice piece of late Victorian-era Ohio photography and an appealing example of antique children’s portraiture.

Condition shows normal age-related toning, discoloration, spotting and wear to the mount consistent with an antique photograph over 125 years old. Back is blank. Please review all photographs for exact condition.
