Antique set of 4 early-1900s Christmas postcards featuring colorful Santa Claus and holiday scenes, including a Santa and train design. Each card is marked Souvenir Post Card Co., New York and Berlin on the back.
These appear to be genuine period originals rather than modern reproductions based on several characteristics visible in the cards, including the early undivided/address-only postcard backs, “Domestic One Cent / Foreign Two Cents” stamp box, period halftone printing pattern, older matte postcard stock, naturally aged paper edges, and age-related spotting/foxing. One card measures approximately 5-5/8\"x3-1/2\", which is consistent with early postcard dimensions.
All 4 postcards appear to be unused and unposted, with no writing, stamps, or postmarks. They are being listed as Used because they are antique and show normal signs of age and long-term storage, including discoloration, spotting/foxing, light corner and edge wear, and handling wear.
Based on the printing, backs, paper stock, measurements, and natural aging, these appear to be original antique early-1900s postcards, although they have not been professionally authenticated.
