Antique French Fabric c1886-1887 Stunning Grand Teint Stylized Floral 19x31.5\" For Sale

This is a fabulous piece of antique (c1886-1887) French floral fabric, likely a salesman\'s sample. There is a printed paper tag which matches historical salesman sample sheets from the Scheurer-Rott firm and originated in Mulhouse, Alsace, France.
The pattern is a stylized floral and leaf pattern in pink, brown and gold, with a navy/teal ground. The colors are well reserved and the fabric is in excellent condition. One of the most beautiful pieces I have had. I would consider this upholstery weight. The size of this piece is approximately 19x31.5\"
I am an avid collector of vintage and antique French fabrics and it\'s always slightly hard to part with these historic treasures. Fabulous as pillow covers, small upholstery projects or as some of my customers have shared, part of a slow stitch or journal creation.
This is unwashed in as-found condition.It can be used as a textile study, in a slow stitching project, or framed.

Having grown up on a farm in the Midwest, I\'m drawn to simple and natural items - I do love the worn and tattered look of old linens. I wonder what their story is and how I would use it - probably in some sort of sewing project.
