Box of Antique Late 1800s Letters, Banking & Misc Documents Rhode Island History For Sale

A Box Full of Antique Rhode Island Late 1800s Letters, Tradesmen Bills, Banking & Misc Documents. The box includes multiple letters from the late 1800s (1860s-1880s) to Herbert Wells, a prominent citizen in Rhode Island associated with the Bryant & Stratton Business College. It also includes his 1880s New Testament bible, a small 1870 pocket diary of his (missing its covers), a small banking brochure published by his father or brother, Thomas P. Wells also in the 1800s (small yellow brochure), and dozens of hand-written bills and invoices associated with the building of Herbert Wells' cottage. Also included are dozens of checks written out in the 1870s, as well as blank check books from the late 1800s (with lovely illustration and lettering). Also included are various wills, trusts, and other business-related documents of Mr. Wells. A few letters / postcards from the 1900s to 1930s/60s which are from Herbert Wells children or later family are also included. I came across this collection of family letters in an antique shop - a wonderful and unique collection for anyone interested in antique stationary, correspondence, or Rhode Island in the 1800s.
