DESCRIPTION
A big California-and-the-West photograph and postcard lot, about 39 pieces, anchored by two real-photo postcards collectors chase. The first is Burton Frasher\'s \"Mummy in Montezuma Castle Museum, Camp Verde, Arizona\" - skulls and a mummified figure against a stone wall, with the Frasher\'s Fotos imprint on the front and \"Pub. by Frasher\'s, Inc., Pomona, Calif.\" on the back. The second is a Portland, Oregon advertising card: the Gottsacker Bros. grocery delivery wagon in front of the store\'s VIM Flour wall ads, the wagon lettered \"Gottsacker Bros. Grocers, Cor. Grand Ave. & Belmont.\" Also here: J. A. Weis\'s 1905 redwood loggers card, \"This Tree made 965,000 shingles,\" copyright 1905 and mailed from Eureka to Alameda in 1910 with a logger\'s joke in the message; an \"Old Mission Santa Barbara\" real-photo card; a Presidio of San Francisco card mailed in 1912; a Fremont Lake photograph captioned in ink; and three Southern California grove-and-valley silver prints. The Hollywood group mixes two authentic 1930s film stills - one pencil-identified on the back \"Vagabond Lady / Robert Young / Evelyn Venable,\" the other an airliner-cabin still pencil-identified \"Fred McMurray / Joan Bennett\" - with two behind-the-scenes movie-camera photographs from unidentified productions, a 1946 beach photograph back-marked \"Guy Davies\" (the woman pictured is not identified), and two large PRINTED premium portraits: David Manners (RKO, easel-mounted; a halftone print marked \"Printed in U.S.A.,\" not a studio photograph) and Ruby Keeler (facsimile signature; the back promotes her Warner Brothers film \"Dames\"; also a printed premium, not a studio photograph). Also included: a serviceman snapshot inscribed \"Lloyd Brand, July 1946, Maywood\"; a school-class photo postcard whose back identifies \"Booth Brand\'s school picture\"; a Disneyland \"Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln\" chrome postcard; a complete, uniform 17-card Boulder Dam tourist postcard set with 1-cent postage boxes on the backs, believed to date from the years around the dam\'s completion; a postwar reprint pin-up portrait of an unidentified blonde (she resembles a well-known 1950s star but is NOT identified or verified as her); and a modern halftone COPY card of an 1886 Pioneer Grist Mill photograph, handwritten \"Dannebrog Mill 1886\" - included as a curiosity only and sold as the copy it is, not as an 1886 original.

CONDITION
A varied lot grading Very Good overall; individual pieces range from Poor to Very Good Plus, with the majority in the Very Good range. The Boulder Dam set is Very Good to Excellent, with one card showing noticeable foxing and a few backs yellowed. Noted issues elsewhere: one grove print has a clipped corner; the Vagabond Lady still is missing a small chunk at one edge, and both film stills have dried album-paper residue patches on their backs; general handling wear, corner and edge wear, and toning appear across the older pieces. Please examine closely for exact condition.
