Four 4.0" Unprepared Fossil Fish from 18" Layer • Dempsey Ranch, Wyo.:
$75.00

Four (4) authentic fossil fish from Wyoming that never made it to the prep table. Great opportunity for you to reveal your own fish whether you are learning or an old pro. This specimen comes from the 18" layer (oil shale) so the skeletons tend to be very dark brown and are generally considered more valuable than the lighter brown skeletons found in the split fish layer. The specimens are most likely Knightia. There are three on the front and each is approximately 4.0" or a bit longer. You also get a bonus "ghost" (imprint only) fish on the back. The plate is roughly 6.0" x 17.0" . You will receive the exact same specimen that you see in the photos which were shot outside in direct light. Thanks for the look and have fun uncovering your treasure.
