and where I purchased some unusual and very collectible pieces.
Most items sold in the museum shop are exclusive to the Ghibli Museum
and limited for a short period of time which makes these pieces fairly scarce.
These fushigi (mystery ball) glass marble straps hang inside the central hall of the main building of the museum and are integrated as designed with the many iron balusters of the stairs.
I was told by the museum employees, there are about 27 mysterious glass marbles in different colors hanging in different areas throughout the inside of the Ghibli Museum.
This interesting strap features the inlaid green glass ball inside a split \"S\" metal curve style sphere...interesting, mysterious and very unusual.
Originally, I was unsure of exactly what movie this piece was from or what this piece signifies...the employees in the museum, also, were not quiet sure about the meaning of this hanging piece!
One employee felt that the best explanation is that it is simply \"a symbol from Ghibli Museum\"and can be purchased at the museum shop as a souvenir or a memento from visiting the museum.
So, there you have it!
My complete explanation of the mysterious glass marble strap.
Quite an amazing, exceptional, quality piece.Brand new and authentic.
