Large Vintage Carlton Ware Rouge Royale Bird of Paradise Gondola Bowl 13" Wide For Sale

Carlton Ware Rouge Royale Bird of Paradise Gondola Bowl

Large Carlton Ware earthenware gondola bowl finished similar to Rouge Royale in deep red luster ground with gilt handles and accents. The boat-shaped body stands on a footed pedestal base with large softly finished 3-way supported/curled handles at either end. There's a faint expression of claw-feet on both the handles and base feet. Both sides and the interior are accented with expertly painted birds, flowering branches and butterflies throughout.
