Fantastic, matching lot of eight (8) vintage 1950s small 3\" x 4\" promotional advertising pocket address books from the historic Antonino Maggiore Bakery, formerly located at 6904 15th Ave in Brooklyn, NY.
These mid-century promo pieces feature beautiful gold-stamped foil text on the back covers highlighting their specialty in \"Italian & French Bread\" alongside a classic old Brooklyn telephone exchange (Tel. BE 6-0028).
Lot Breakdown:
- 7 Dark Green Faux-Leather Cover Books
- 1 Dark Red Faux-Leather Cover Book (Rare color variant)
Condition Notes:
We are grading this collection in Very Good vintage condition. Crucially, the inside pages are completely blank, unwritten, and unused. The gold-gilded page edges remain incredibly bright and vibrant.
The back covers are cleanly stamped with the bakery\'s advertising details and include the original, small period-correct \"Japan\" manufacturing stamp on the back corner.
Because these are true vintage items that have been stored for decades, they may show minor signs of shelf wear, light edge softening, or storage aging. They are not entirely flawless, but they are exceptionally well-preserved for their age.
- Perfect for collectors of New York City history, mid-century advertising memorabilia, or anyone looking for a unique, unused analog everyday-carry piece.
