Mel Fisher Atocha 1622 Shipwreck Silver Pendant w/ COA Stamped 567 G 0890
Offered here is an authentic treasure jewelry pendant crafted from recovered silver from the legendary 1622 Spanish galleon Nuestra Señora de Atocha, salvaged by famed treasure hunter Mel Fisher and Treasure Salvors, Inc. This piece is accompanied by its original Certificate of Authenticity and historical documentation cards, all bearing official stamp seals on the front. The certificate identifies the silver ingot pendant as TSI Number 85A-S567, Manifest Number 528, and was certified in 1986. The documentation includes the Treasure Salvors, Inc. printed authentication details along with the Mel Fisher signature as President. Importantly, the front of the documentation cards display the official embossed / stamped seals consistent with original Mel Fisher era issue pieces, adding confidence to the paperwork and period correctness. The Nuestra Señora de Atocha sank in a hurricane off the Florida Keys on September 6, 1622 while carrying immense quantities of silver, gold, and precious cargo. After a 16-year search, Mel Fisher located the primary silver mother lode in 1985, making this one of the most famous treasure recoveries in history. Pieces such as this were cut from documented silver ingots and released as tangible relics of the wreck. The pendant retains the natural irregular form typical of Atocha ingot fragments from the 1980s production period. Surface texture and character are consistent with recovered and mounted treasure silver. The original fold-out historical insert and certificate remain attached with the original plastic tie. Item pictured is the item you will receive.
Condition Report : The mount and pendant shows light surface polishing. The documentation cards are complete and intact with normal age toning and light handling wear. All cards display official front stamp seals. The plastic attachment tie remains present. Overall presentation is strong with clean display appeal and solid historical integrity.
