They named it Snuggles. Then they built a breaching hammer that goes through a car door.
That’s the joke, and the steel is the punchline. This isn’t the mild steel — the Snuggles is cut from S7, the shock-resisting tool steel they make jackhammer bits and cold chisels out of. Steel that’s engineered to be hit, over and over, and not crack. RMJ ran it to a 55–57 HRC and wrapped it in Cerakote. You do not baby a tool built from the stuff that breaks concrete.
Eighteen inches. Three pounds, ten ounces. A meat-tenderizer face on one end to stave in whatever’s in the way, and a 3¾” distal-taper spike on the other to punch through glass, sheet metal, or a locked door. Short enough to live in a patrol car or a go-bag, mean enough to end the argument. Three hardened 4140 chromoly bolts hold the cheeks, Grade 5 titanium hardware, G10 scales.
A breacher’s tool with a house cat’s name.
