Description
?These are an ORIGINAL pair of gloves/gauntlets worn by the Doughboys during WWI for the frigid winter in France 1917-18. I purchased these gloves on January 20, 1991 at one of the late, great Manion International\'s sales. The gloves are made of brown wool with brown leather palms and are lined (one of which has come loose from the seam in the right glove (last image above). The size is approximately 8/9 (the circumference in inches around the hand)). If to be worn, you should take a measurement of your hand\'s circumference with a tailor\'s tape measure! Here\'s an opportunity for the WWI collector to obtain a pair of gauntlets/gloves at little more than I paid for them 35 years ago. The buyer will have my usual unconditional guarantee of authenticity and a five-day (not the 14-days that they insert in my listings without my consent) right of inspection and return/refund privilege, excluding postage.PLEASE NOTE: The gloves will be mailed in a padded envelope by parcel post mail at the lowest possible postage, with a refund of any unused postage after mailing.
