This is original
artwork of Ferrari driver Jim Kimberly driving the Ferrari 375 MM. This original artwork was created by the internationally
acclaimed, automotive artist illustrator, Argentinian-born, Hector Luis
Bergandi.
Jim Kimberly was one
the leading official Ferrari factory drivers in 1956 along with Castellotti, Collins,
de Portago, Fangio, Gendebien, Hamilton, Phil Hill, Musso, Shell, Simon and Von
Trips.
“Known as ‘Gentleman
Jim’, Kimberly raced for the love racing.
He competed in the 12 Hours of Sebring, the Carrera Panamericana and
other significant racing venues. He was known for driving red Ferrari’s with a
bright yellow # 5. (See Photos).
He also played a
major leadership role in the Sports Car Club of America and received the Woolf
Barnato Award for his dedication and vision promoting amateur racing. The award
is the highest honor given by the SCCA”.
The artist, Hector
Luis Bergandi, illustrated the Ferrari Piloti starting with the 1947 stable of
official Ferrari drivers published in Rosso Ferrari Magazine issues numbers
Seven and Nine, 1992 and 1993.Bergandi's interpretation of each Pilot is intense
and exciting capturing the true racing challenges of each driver and the
Ferrari race car they drove.

Advertising handled the Advertising and Marketing for Ferrari North America
from 1977 through 1995. During my18-year relationship with Ferrari North
America and Ferrari S.p.A., I accumulated an extensive collection of hundreds
of Ferrari collectibles/memorabilia from Ferrari North America and from the
Factory in Maranello, Italy.
They personally recommended to Ferrari North America Management that they
launch the introduction of the 348 Spider in Beverly Hills, California by
closing off Rodeo Drive and having the first ever Ferrari Concours d’Elegance
on Rodeo Drive as the highlight of the 1993 introduction of the 348 Spider.
The agency designed and produced all of the marketing and advertising
materials for the 348 Spider Introduction including the Poster, Letterhead and
Envelopes, Invitations, Event Program, Parking Passes, Windshield ID’s, VIP
Wrist Bands, 348 Spider Spec. Sheets, Etc.
They were also the Editor of
Rosso Ferrari Magazine.
They edited and published 9 Issues from 1990 through 1993 including Issue
number Eight – Ferrari Rodeo Drive.
As the Editor of Rosso Ferrari Magazine, they commissioned internationally
acclaimed, automotive artist/illustrator, Hector Luis Bergandi to create original
Ferrari Car Art Illustrations to be featured in Rosso Ferrari Issues.
Ferrari collectibles are originals and range
in condition from good to excellent to museum-quality.
This original Jim Kimbery car art measures approximate 16¾inches wide x
9inches deep and is rendered on
art board. The portrait art measures approximately 8 1/2 inches wide x 12 1/4 inches
deep and is rendered on art paper.
These original artwork illustrations are more than 34 years old. Each one
