Original Yale Motorcycle- Consolidated Manufacturing Company Watch FOB Rare: $650.00
Yale Motorcycle Watch FobConsolidated Manufacturing CompanySuper Rare This morning I am listing some very scarce and desirable early pieces of Motorcycle memorabilia from my personal collection. The first listing is for this incredibly difficult to obtain Yale Watch fob produced circa 1910-1912 to celebrate and promote the new Yale 7 Horse Power motorcycle produced by the Consolidated Manufacturing Company out of Toledo Ohio. I have only seen three or four of these come up for sale in 30+ years of collecting this material. It is hard for me to part with this piece because I love it and have had it so long. That being said I am at the time in my life (64) when I feel it is time to let others enjoy some of the prized pieces in my collection that I have enjoyed these many years. I am reallocating some assets to offset the cost of some extensive and expensive home renovations. Don't miss this opportunity to add this rare piece to your collection. The chance to acquire one of these does not come along very often. Fob presents with its original leather strap. The piece does show ware as is to be expected from a piece that is 115 years old and was meant to be carried and handled daily. The front is adorned with an image of a rider mounted on the new Yale 7 horsepower model. Around the perimeter reads the great slogan "Ride A Yale They Never Fail. At the bottom can be seen a "7-P" which in all honesty I did not pay that much attention to when I bought the piece. I was so excited to add it to my collection that I didnt pay that much attention to that part of the design. It was not untio some years later when I was researching the company and had the piece in my hand that I started looking closer at it, I ran across a Yale advertisement in a periodical from 1912 where they were boasting about the new 7HP model and I made the connection. The way the designer stylized the "H" between the 7 and the P escaped me upon original inspection. Remnants of the beautiful red enameling is present under the text on the front. The reverse states " Compliments of The Consolidated Manufacturing Company Toledo Ohio A bit about the company;Check out my other listings where you will find another scarce Indian Motorcycle Red Variant Headdress Fob.
