A colour photographic view of the Place du Tertre in Montmartre, Paris, looking toward the church of Saint-Pierre de Montmartre with the white domes of the Sacre-Coeur rising directly behind it. Cafe terraces with striped awnings, including the Auberge de la Bonne Franquette sign, line the left side, striped parasols and leafy trees fill the right, and a crowd of strollers in 1950s dress mingles with parked Citroens and Peugeots on the cobbled lane.
