RARE ALASKA HIGHWAY Maintenance CAMP double sided SIGN HISTORIC YUKON ROUTE WWII: $4200.00
RARE ALASKA HIGHWAY Maintenance CAMP double sided SIGN HISTORIC YUKON ROUTE WWII OMG...WOW FACTOR...find another one...maybe in a MUSEUM.An original hanging Alaska Highway Camp Maintenance sign from 1942 during the construction of the storied ALASKAN HIGHWAY.This is a 5/16\" thick, 13\" tall by 36\"+ long original painted double sided plywood sign that hung on two chains from a post arm marking a Maintenance CAMP along the Alaskan Highway. The last 3 pictures shown these types of signs. I can deduce that this sign once also had a location under the Maintenance Camp but was cut off for some reason. If this sign could talk!!! It is 100% historically correct, original to the construction period of 1942, shows such killer outside weathering patina and has the two hanger holes from the chain hooks. There is a hole in the top center where it was screw mounted on the wall I removed it. A super RARE find....from an estate of a retired Green Beret whose father worked on the Alaska Highway and lived in Alaska after the construction of the highway. The real deal....museum quality oldtoolhunter - 100%+ response, super fast shipping and a trusted vintage tool dealer in Virginia for over 40+ years.
