RARE ORIGINAL WWI ERA USMC U.S. MARINE CORPS P-1912 HAVERSACK WITH PACK CARRIER:
$499.99

RARE ORIGINAL WORLD WAR ONE ERA U.S. MARINE CORPS P1912 HAVERSACK SET. This haversack was manufactured by the USMC Philadelphia Depot dating to the WWI era or possibly after. This is an identified matched set consisting of the haversack, meat can pouch & the pack carrier. There are no visible USMC markings on this set as is so often the case with depot made gear. The haversack lacks the U.S. Army marking on the front flap. The pack carrier has the USMC adjustable position triple row of slots for the attachment strap to pass through. All three pieces are marked to the Marine "W.J. SCHOONMAKER", he used the issued USMC name stamp for marking field gear & uniforms. The set is in overall good condition showing some areas of soil. There are no rips, tears or holes. PLEASE NOTE: ONE OF THE STRAPS THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE SHOULDER STRAP AND HOOKS TO THE CARTRIDGE/PISTOL BELT IS MISSING - see close up photos. The leather utensil scabbards are missing from the meat can pouch. Otherwise this set is complete with all straps & hardware. A rare, identified & matched USMC P1912 haversack set!
