$430.00
A magnificent ancient Luristan bronze macehead dating to circa 1200–800 BC, from the Late Bronze Age to Early Iron Age. This rare genuine artifact hails from the ancient Near East, specifically the Luristan region, famous for its exquisite bronze weaponry and ceremonial items. This piece features a tall cylindrical neck rising from a rounded body adorned with radiating lobes—typical of high-status maceheads used in ritual or symbolic contexts rather than warfare. The flared mouth and solid base suggest it was once mounted on a wooden shaft. The surface exhibits a natural green patina with mineral encrustations, reflecting approximately 2800–3200 years of age and burial.
