The Air King "Kent" Model 9822 (and its variant 9822A) is a rare, vintage tabletop vacuum tube radio manufactured by Air King Products Co., Inc. of Brooklyn, New York. Circuit Design: The 9822 utilizes a 4-valve (tube) TRF (Tuned Radio Frequency) or early superheterodyne circuit design depending on the sub-variant. Tube Complement Varieties: Service records indicate variations in production. While some official documentation and schematics outline a 25L6 audio output tube, individual survivors frequently feature chassis factory-marked for (and operating on) a 35L6 output tube. Untested, As-Found and As-Is for restoration. Due to the age of this item, all electrical components, wiring, and belts are original.
