This item is an original Seth Thomas coppered cast-metal \"Long Alarm\" mantel clock, which dates to circa 1895–1909.I believe this clock is super rare as I can not find another clock with this same design (Old Man Of The North Face). There are many clocks that have a similar look/style but I can not find another like this. This item is being sold AS-IS as it is not currently working and I have no idea what is wrong with it. Regardless, it is a beautiful clock and would look great on a shelf or can be restored if you have the know how. The front face of the clock opens but it does not have the glass in the round opening (it is missing).Info on 10/8 - Someone who has been in the business for 40 years reached out to us and provided us with some great information we wanted to pass along... \"Just for a little clarification, since I have one of these myself, they are extremely rare as in 40 years I have only seen a handful.The one I have has an original greenish-tint paper dial I have seen on other Seth Thomas mantel clocks of the late 19th century era. Yours has a replacement dial as evidenced by the less than precise holes for the hands. The case is actually stamped sheet brass with a copper finish. Beneath is a framework of cast iron to hold it all together with screws. I think, and this is just my opinion, that these were forerunners for the plentiful “Long Alarm” Seth Thomas clocks of a different design but similar finish that you see quite often on \"It measures approximately 9.5\" x 6.5\" x 3.25\".Design Details & Specifics

Case and Motif: The body is made of cast white metal with a heavy copper-plated finish that has developed a natural green oxidation patina over time. The base prominently features a relief engraving of the classic \"Old Man of the North\" or \"Sun Face\" motif with stylized rays and scrollwork.
Face Configuration: The clock dial features black Roman numerals and a multi-subdial system typical of Seth Thomas mechanical alarm pieces from this era. The top subdial is for standard time tracking/seconds, while the lower subdial schedules the continuous continuous \"long\" mechanical alarm bell.
Control Levers: Located directly underneath the main dial on the neck of the base is a small metal slot that houses an \"Alarm / Silent\" toggle lever to enable or suppress the ring.
