Vintage The Tikis Monterey Park CA Matchbook Full Unstruck 1960s 1970s Retro For Sale

UNUSED Matchbook from the historic "The Tikis" in Monterey Park California (1960-1979).I purchased this matchbook from an antique store over 30 years ago.

CONDITION:

No matches have been used (see photos), but there is a small tear on the cover (again, see photos) from age. And the shelf wear on cardboard is evident from over 6 decades. The fact that this matchbook has somehow survived is a miracle.

This is a rare piece of Tiki and California history. Ephemera of an era gone by. As an urban archeologist or Tiki historian, this will be a a welcome addition to your Tiki architecture and history collection.

There is a wealth of information on this matchbook, a map of the location on the inside cover, a number (minus area code!) on the spine, a gorgeous Tiki-inspired illustration on the cover, and a description of the spectacular Polynesian getaway on the back, plus the location is on the front fold. It's part of California history.
