Rare authentic 1959 German pilgrimage medal commemorating the exposition of the Holy Tunic (Heilig Rock) at Trier Cathedral, Germany.

The Holy Tunic (the seamless robe said to have been worn by Jesus Christ during or shortly before his crucifixion) is preserved in Trier Cathedral and is only displayed to pilgrims on rare, designated holy years, making 1959 pilgrimage items highly sought after by collectors of Catholic relics and Christian devotional ephemera.

Design: Round scalloped flower-petal border framing an off-white/cream textured background disc, centered with a detailed raised gold-tone relief of the Holy Robe.
Reverse: Stamped with raised German inscription: \"HL. ROCK TRIER 1959\".
