The New England Oyster House was a South Florida seafood chain operated by the Florida Oyster Company, based at 768 Dania Beach Boulevard in Dania. It began in the late 1950s as the \"New England Raw Bar and Sea Food House\" on Biscayne Boulevard in North Miami, known for New England-style seafood and raw oysters. By 1960 it had grown to five locations — three in Dade, two in Broward — later spreading across South Florida to Coral Gables, Miami, North Miami, Dania, Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Sarasota and Hialeah, with a documented outlet at 16915 S. Federal Highway in Perrine by 1965.
