Vintage Bendix Aviation Tube Radio Wood Cabinet Working MCM Art Deco AM.
DESCRIPTION:
Beautiful vintage Bendix Aviation Corporation tabletop tube radio featuring a substantial wooden cabinet and an unusually decorative woven-style front grille.
This is a particularly attractive example of a postwar Bendix radio. The cabinet has rounded corners, a large horizontal illuminated-style tuning dial, three original-style control knobs, and an elaborate grille incorporating woven and ornamental geometric details.

The combination of the warm wood cabinet, gold-toned dial, decorative grille and streamlined design gives this radio an excellent late Art Deco / early Mid-Century Modern appearance.

The wooden cabinet shows expected age-related wear including scratches, scuffs, finish wear, discoloration and marks. There is noticeable finish wear particularly across the top and around portions of the cabinet.
The decorative front grille remains visually impressive and shows age-related wear, dust, oxidation and discoloration.
The dial face presents nicely with attractive period graphics.
The original vintage power cord and plug show age and wear.
