Beautiful traditional Indian devotional paintings featuring Lord Krishna and the gopīs, presented in large, deeply carved wooden frames.
The painting is surrounded by impressive, heavily carved wooden frames decorated with elaborate floral, leaf, vine and architectural motifs. The dark aged finish and substantial carving give the pieces an antique temple or architectural appearance.
The paintings feature the fine outlines, detailed clothing, jewelry and stylized figures associated with traditional Indian miniature-inspired devotional painting.
These make an impressive matching decorative and would be especially suitable for a collection of Indian art, Krishna art, Hindu devotional art, Vaishnava art or spiritual décor.
Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition. The carved wooden frames show substantial age-related character including surface wear, scratches, finish loss, discoloration, small chips/nicks, irregularities and accumulated patina. There may also be areas of wear to the paintings. These characteristics are visible in the photographs and should be considered part of the condition. Please review all photos carefully.
Artist, exact age, regional origin and painting medium are unknown unless markings are found on the reverse.
