【Description】This is a beautiful vintage Japanese \"Hakota Doll\" (commonly known as \"Hako-san\"), an authentic traditional folk art (Mingei) originating from Kurayoshi, Tottori Prefecture, Japan.
It features a very elegant, classic face expression and vibrant red kimono hand-painted with beautiful Tsubaki (Camellia) flower motifs.
In Japan, Hako-san dolls have been loved for over 200 years as a protective amulet for children\'s health and good fortune. This unique slender paper craft style is highly sought after by Japanese folk art collectors worldwide.
