Vintage Keramos Chicago Illinois USA Black Swirl Planter Mid Century Pottery DS-8

Item DescriptionA sophisticated piece of American Mid-Century Modern history. This elegant black swirl planter was produced by Keramos in Chicago, Illinois (marked \"CHIC ILL\") during the late 1940s to 1950s.Designated as model DS-8, it features a rhythmic, sculptural swirl motif emphasized by a stunning high-gloss jet-black glaze. This monochromatic aesthetic is quintessential of the post-war era and fits beautifully within Hollywood Regency, Modernist, or Minimalist decor. The clear \"KERAMOS DS-8-CHIC ILL USA\" marking on the base provides excellent provenance for collectors specializing in Illinois-made art pottery.
