Beautiful vintage Steinbach King Nutcracker, handcrafted in Germany. This traditional wooden nutcracker features a regal king wearing a jeweled gold crown, red coat with gold accents, blue trousers, black boots, and a white faux-fur trimmed cape with black spots. He holds a gold scepter and has the classic expressive Steinbach face with black hair and beard.

The underside retains the Original Steinbach Volkskunst Germany markings and original Steinbach handmade Germany label. Also includes the original hanging tag and original Steinbach Nutcracker box, making this a particularly nice piece for a collector.

Based on its labeling and style, I’d date it to approximately the 1980s–early 1990s.

Marked No. 773 on the bottom.
