GLORIOUS! Vintage Royal Brierley turnover pedestal vase with diamond band around lower body of the vase and a turnover rim decorated with floral motif. Royal Brierley is essentially the modern identity of the historic Stevens & Williams glassworks, England’s oldest and most prestigious crystal manufacturer. This is a magnificent centerpiece for the home, whether as a stand alone or with a floral arrangement. The condition is like new, it has incredible clarity. Beautiful cut foot with Royal Brierley signature on underside. Measurements: 10.25" from base to opening and turnover circumference of 27 inches, opening width of 5.5 inches. This piece is heavy. Founded in 1776 in Brierley Hill, the company rose to international fame during the 19th century under the Stevens & Williams name, becoming a world leader in Victorian glass innovation and pioneering complex techniques like Cameo glass and intaglio engraving. The transition to the "Royal Brierley" name occurred in the early 1930s to celebrate a major milestone: the granting of a Royal Warrant by King George V in 1919.
