A lovely original piece of English chintz ware, decorated all over with colourful cottage-garden flowers including pink roses and vivid blue, pink and orange blooms, finished with delicate gilt edging.
The underside carries the“Old Cottage Chintz – Royal Winton – Made in England”backstamp. Old Cottage is one of Royal Winton\'s classic floral chintz patterns, dating from the mid-20th century.

In very good vintage condition withno chips, cracks or repairs. There is a small approximately 5 mm grey spot on the top of the lid, clearly photographed. It appears to be on the surface/decoration and the original pattern can be seen beneath it. I have left it untouched rather than risk damaging the finish.
