A decorative Chinese porcelain charger featuring an elaborate figural scene painted in reddish iron-red tones. The central composition depicts several historical or literary figures gathered among rugged rocks and a large pine tree. The scene may relate to a traditional Chinese historical narrative, possibly the Water-Flooding of the Seven Armies episode from Romance of the Three Kingdoms, although the identification has not been confirmed.
The reverse is decorated with red-painted fruit and leafy branches, complemented by fine blue lines and a contrasting dark glazed rim. The combination of figural decoration, floral motifs, and contrasting colors makes this a visually appealing piece for collectors of Chinese ceramics.
