Take a moment to sit back with this enormous group of rough graphite and color pencil animation drawings starring Mrs. Potts, Chip, and the talented "dining room" friends from the acclaimed Disney Renaissance film, Beauty and the Beast!
Bringing the group together as the star of the lot, Mrs. Potts comes from the rare, deleted scene "Human Again" featured with a timing chart and dialog note for "Again"! Her image can be found near the 1:17 timestamp of the deleted scene when viewed online, as her and Cogsworth pose in a parody of the painting American Gothic. Her son, Chip, can be found after the conclusion of the romantic dance between Belle and the Beast seen near the 59:51 timestamp of the film.
The next group of drawings showcase the magical dishware, pots, pans, and wine bottles taking part in the Broadway song from the massive musical undertaking "Be Our Guest". In order of appearance these drawings can be found near 38:20 (the pitcher and plain sugar bowl drawings in the leadup to the song), 41:02 (faucet with plates and the decorated sugar bowl), 41:05 (wine bottles), starting at around 41:14 (sequence of three teacups), and at about 41:18 (cooking pots). All are numbered in the lower right, some with timing charts, and each offers fantastic insight at how the musical sequence was created.
The rare group includes 12 field drawings of the faucet with plates and the decorated sugar bowl, and 16 field animation drawings including the pair of Mrs. Potts and Chip.
The group is in Good to Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear, including slight wrinkling, attached pegholes on four pages, peghole supports, and minimal toning from age.
