- Segment has been flushed and keys and have been aligned. There may be keys that do stick. If so, put a little denatured alcohol or lacquer thinner in the slot where the key hits the segment and press keys continuously until it’s free.
- Platen cleaned and rolls as it should.

My machines have been cleaned, lubricated, and adjusted for optimal functionality. I try to mitigate the amount of cleaning materials used during in order to preserve the life and longevity of each machine.
- Cleaning
- Dust, ink, and grime are removed as much as possible.
- A soft brush and compressed air clear out debris from the type bars and chassis.
- Platen (rubber roller) is cleaned with a mild solvent to help restore grip.
- I try to limit the use of harsh chemicals.
- Lubrication
- Moving parts like the carriage rails, type bar pivots, and shift mechanism are lightly lubricated with typewriter-specific oil.

Shipments are all packed with bubble wrap and paper to ensure package is tightly secured to mitigate any damage during delivery.
