1870 THE DICKENS SUPPLEMENT TO HARPER\'S WEEKLY LOT OF 4 ISSUES - NP 5839B For Sale

This is lot of 4 issues of Harper\'s Weekly newspaper from 1870. Each issue is 4 pages. This lot of supplements feature installments of Charles Dickens\'s famous final serialized novel, The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Published by Harper & Brothers, these rare Victorian-era newspaper supplements provided readers in America with timely access to serialized British literature alongside classic woodcut illustrations by artists such as Luke Fildes. These are in overall good condition, showing typical age toning, edge wear, and corner chipping consistent with fragile nineteenth-century newsprint.
