Original handwritten letter dated December 30, 1886, from R. R. Young of Stephens Hall Farm, Ryton-on-Tyne, England. In the letter, Young apologizes for not being able to meet due to illness and states his intent to be in Alnwick the following Tuesday to finalize an agreement concerning a farm at Longhorsley. A charming example of 19th-century English agricultural correspondence with clear ink and legible penmanship. A great piece of local history from Northumberland.
