The Green Hill Mansion was a 42-room estate home built in the mid-to-late 19th century in Worcester, Massachusetts, which was later demolished in 1957.History of the Estate and Mansion

Early Roots: The land known as \"Green Hill\" was first acquired by Dr. Thomas Green in 1754 and passed down through generations of the Green family.
Andrew Green\'s Vision: Andrew Haswell Green (known as the \"Father of Greater New York\" and Central Park commissioner) inherited the property in 1848. He and his brother Martin landscaped the expansive grounds.
Expansion: Around 1880, the family homestead was expanded and modified into a large, grand mansion at the center of the 500-acre estate.
Transition to Public Park: Following Andrew Green\'s death in 1903, the heirs sold the property to the City of Worcester in December 1905 to establish
Demolition: The mansion served as a wildlife museum and meeting space for a time, but a 1948 hurricane severely damaged the building, and after falling victim to vandalism, it was torn down in 1957
