1910s African American Woman House & Dog RPPC Photo For Sale

Bridging a gap in photo history, relying on the trope of plantation home tourist shots that dominated the stereo view and albumen photo era — this time taken with the modernity of an itinerant photographer using real photo postcards to sell portraits.

Dark lighting & the dog turned — more evidence that it was likely she who paid for the portrait or it might have been retaken.

Earnest & lovely capture. No condition issues.
