Original real photo postcard showing North Main Street in Shirley, Indiana. Excellent early street scene featuring storefronts, a restaurant, hotel, Mrs. Mill’s Notions advertising, residences, and an unpaved Main Street.
Handwritten identification on the front reads “North Main St. Shirley Ind.” Divided-back postcard mailed from Shirley, Indiana on May 6, 1912, with a one-cent Washington stamp.
A very nice Indiana RPPC with strong small-town commercial and architectural content. Particularly desirable because the businesses and street are clearly identified and the card is postmarked locally.
Condition shows normal age-related wear, light soiling, and handling consistent with an original postcard of this period. Please review photos for exact condition.
