a recent estate find... " THE WORK OF HENRY C. SMITH , ARCHITECT "
Henry Clay Smith self published this monograph to advertise for his firm in 1928. This was produced shortly after he completed the residence of Milton Ray residence at 2901 Broadway St. and there a few references to that building in the text and advertisements. That Pacific Heights mansion is very historically significant as Ray purchased the lots from his school friend Herbert Hoover in 1912. He hired Smith but after he had already consulted with Joseph Strauss, the designer of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Needless to say very scarce and quite rare.
