Serial # AD7845xx dates this Featherweight to Nov. 27, 1934 making it a part of the third run of Featherweights ever made!
It has many of the rarer features specific to the earlier machines such as the school bell bobbin tension unit, a beautiful scrolled faceplate, an unnumbered motor and tension dial, the cut out around the terminal plug, and the 2nd production metal motor with the plug coming from the right side.
This machine has been cleaned and serviced. It runs fast and smooth, and makes the beautiful stitch these cute machines are known for. I created the video and stitch samples while creating this ad. I also removed and cleaned the hook and tension assemblies, checked the motor brushes, oiled and greased where appropriate, and replaced the felt drip pad and bed cushions with new ones from The Featherweight Shop. It also has a new TFS Superbelt, and the foot control has an updated cord.
There are a few minor bed scratches that I tried to capture in the photos. Generally speaking, she is in beautiful condition. The case has a cloth handle that supports the case effectively and is actually more comfortable on the hands. The case does not have any foul odors that I can detect.
