This card features the exterior and large red sign of the Dallasite Motor Hotel located in Dallas, Texas.The Dallasite Motor Hotel operated at 4126 North Central Expressway, providing 58 rooms near downtown Dallas and Southern Methodist University. The facility was eventually demolished as the North Central Expressway widening project consumed adjacent commercial real estate in the 1990s.On November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dealey Plaza, located roughly three miles southwest of the Dallasite. The presidential motorcade traversed downtown Dallas immediately before the shooting.The handwritten correspondence on this card provides a primary source account from a bystander who observed the Kennedy motorcade ten minutes prior to the assassination. The author also notes hearing Lyndon B. Johnson speak before he assumed the presidency.The card includes a handwritten message from the author: \"Sat - Dear Georg - Eddie & Boys - I saw the Kennedy\'s just 10 minutes before he was shot - also heard L.
